What makes C&S a great place to work?
C&S is a great place to work because of the opportunities within the organization, the people who work here and our commitment to Community Involvement. At C&S you really feel like you are part of a team and are all working toward the same goals for the organization.

What important qualities and experience do you look for in a candidate?
I recruit for a variety of positions across the organization so candidate experience is going to differ.  As for qualities, I’m always looking for candidates that are inquisitive, energetic and enjoy working in a fast paced environment in which they will continually be challenged in their roles.

What question are you most frequently asked?
Since the majority of the positions I recruit for are based at our Corporate Headquarters I get a lot of questions about Keene and living in the area. I can’t say enough great things about Keene and the community. After living in the city for many years I love that I am able to live in a smaller town but still work for a large company that offers me the same career opportunities as the big city.  It really is the best of both worlds.

What’s your best advice to an applicant?
Do your research. I always ask what you know about the company and why you want to work here. We’re the biggest company that you’ve probably never heard of but once you do your research you’ll understand why we’re the largest wholesale grocer and a great place to work.

What have been your most satisfying or memorable moments as a recruiter?
After many years of recruitment I still love finding a great match for a need at the company, it’s especially rewarding when the candidate is excited to be joining the C&S team.
