Testimonials

" My co-op experience with C&S challenged me in ways I never knew possible. I was able to work on a variety of projects, which gave me exposure to various aspects of the transportation industry. I was fortunate enough to lead a project that gave me the opportunity to impact 1700 + drivers to improve the overall data quality of the asset management system. The fact that I was able to see the direct impact of my work each day was a very rewarding part of the co-op. Each individual I worked with was both knowledgeable and always willing to put in the extra work to see each task is completed on time and accurately. The project management and problem solving skills that I have developed during my co-op with C&S are invaluable and will help me to succeed in any industry. Although the responsibilities are great, C&S provided me with the resources and support needed to be a successful part of their team. " - Liz Blair , Transportation Co-op, ES3, Keene, NH (Northeastern University '13)
" I joined the Compliance Department at C&S as an Environmental & Sustainability Analyst to enhance and improve the recycling program. While there have been many improvements to the program, I am particularly proud of two achievements. I started a recycling program in our largest volume warehouse and the facility is now on target to make over $250k in recycling income and $70k under budget in waste expense. I also created a recycling income reporting system, enabling GMs at each facility to determine if they are meeting or exceeding the standards and budgets. I learned that in order to make improvements I need to develop specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely (S.M.A.R.T) goals. Using this theory as a guideline, we are projected to save close to $500k in waste expenses and recycle 70% of our waste (20% increase from over a year ago). I extended my 6 month assignment to 1 year and look forward to the continued growth of the recycling program and my long term future at C&S.
