C&S provides opportunities for students to become immersed in an evolving industry at a steadily growing company. We enable interns to get first-hand experience in a corporate setting at the country’s 9th largest privately held company. You can be considered for an internship if you are a full-time student at any four- or five-year, accredited U.S. college or university. We challenge and encourage interns to contribute their ideas and strengths and to apply their knowledge and education right away.
While an internship is not a guarantee of a full-time position, it is a great way to gain experience, make connections and get your foot in the door. Managers and supervisors view interns as potential hires and treat the experience as an extended, more in-depth interview where they can explore your capabilities and work ethic. Additionally, the internship is an opportunity for you to evaluate your comfort/fit within the company/department.

"
My time as an intern with C&S helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’ve had the opportunity to connect with experts in various areas and been exposed to what makes C&S tick. It was very rewarding to be trusted with so much responsibility right off the bat. I had supportive management taking me under their wing without hesitation. One of the most inspiring things was witnessing how hardworking and relentless my team was. After a summer at C&S, I really felt like part of a family that I had grown with and learned so much from. My experience has even led me to another summer internship with C&S in Operational Finance, giving me an even broader view of the company.
I know it will provide me with not only a stronger resume but also the possibility of even greater opportunities with C&S in the future. "

When I interviewed for the accounting internship at C&S, I was so nervous. I had only completed my sophomore year at UNH and had limited work experience. When I found that I was offered the position, I was thrilled! I wasn’t expecting a lot of responsibility because of my limited accounting experience, but I was introduced to various tasks that helped me to learn the processing systems and procedures. From disposing, transferring, and capitalizing assets to helping report the weekly financials, I was given control over my own actions. My co-workers were always willing to answer my thousands of questions and explain the reasoning behind them. Words can’t express how much I appreciated their support. Whenever I asked a question, my boss would ask me what I thought I should do; it was intimidating and empowering at the same time. I wasn’t making copies and fetching coffee but actually doing ‘real world’ accounting and that’s something that formalized college education can’t compare to. "
