A Selector works individually or with 3 to 10 other selectors on a team selecting full case grocery/perishable/frozen items from a warehouse pick slot.  The selector fits these items on a pallet, plastic wraps the bundles, and in some cases, loads them onto a trailer.  In some cases, audio headsets are used and the selector hears the item in the order to be picked from the slot.  In other cases, a sheet of stickers is used, where each sticker is a case of product to be picked. Essential duties following; other duties may be assigned. Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards.Read an Order Sheet or use a headset to find individual items within warehouseRemove full case(s) of product from storage rack and place on palletIn some cases, affix selection labels to the appropriate cases Maneuver pallet on an electric pallet jack until full or order is completeEnsure item pick accuracy and safety of product to prevent damageInform supervisor of any discrepancies in case quantity and/or product descriptionManually wrap the pallet by circling load with roll of plastic wrap until secureIn some cases, load bundles onto trucks with the pallet jackOther Duties as Assigned

A Driver/Dispatch Supervisor will dispatch loads and communicate to the drivers any special instructions for each dispatch, inform Transportation Management of any issues expressed or created by drivers, and ensure that all loads dispatch on time, with the appropriate paperwork complete and accompanying the driver for each load.
